We are excited to announce that Ricky Ellis has joined the Adnovate team as Associate Medical Director.
Ricky is a multi-award-winning physician (MBChB, MRCS), clinician-scientist (PhD, BSc), trainer (FHEA, MFSTEd), and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer (Associate Professor).
Ricky graduated with a 1st Class Honors Degree in Biomedical Science before entering industry where he worked in pre-clinical phase studies. Ricky later studied medicine at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, after which he worked as a physician for the National Health Service for more than a decade, across numerous clinical specialties. He was awarded a competitive research Fellowship with the four Royal Colleges of Surgery of the UK and Ireland during which he completed a PhD focusing on the acquisition, analysis, and application of big data in applied health sciences. He has since held roles that include Post-Doctoral Researcher for the Royal Colleges of Surgery and Scientific Adviser to several national organizations and initiatives.
We are excited to have Ricky on board. He brings a unique combination of clinical, academic, medical education, and R&D expertise across all phases to the team and will be a great addition, supporting us with new and existing projects.
Ricky is an accomplished clinician-scientist and has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and 4 medical textbooks and has received international recognition and awards for his work. He has extensive experience in medical education and excels in taking complex concepts and translating these into accessible resources for stakeholders. These skills have already added value to current projects, where Ricky has been working closely with clients and external consultants on key deliverables.
