We are excited to announce that Alejandra E. Ontiveros has joined the Adnovate team as Associate Medical Director.
Ale is a dynamic physician scientist, holding an MD from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, TecSalud and a PhD in Developmental Biology from Baylor College of Medicine. During her PhD, Ale discovered three key genes that are required for a uterus to form in a mouse model; these three genes are also expressed in the human uterus potentially showing a link to human reproductive disease. Afterwards, she undertook a postdoc at UCSF on human placenta research with a focus on epigenetic changes. In addition, Ale has experience in grant management and data analysis at Baylor College of Medicine, managing 15+ training grants and 50+ fellowships at the college. She also has experience in the start-up world, working with a team developing a model for precision medicine in contraceptive prescription. Ale has made significant contributions to women’s health and infertility. Her scientific research encompasses, basic, translational and clinical science. This perspective and experience along with her meticulous attention to detail, excellent presentation skills and intense thirst for knowledge have already proved invaluable in multiple client and internal projects.
